On the way, he bumps into a field of corn and picks five ears of corn, deciding they might be useful later. When he was at his fishing area, he noticed some webs from spiders. He cleaned up five of the webs from his spot and began fishing. After around ninety minutes, he finally caught a fish; the fish was a beautiful golden color and was a decent size of perhaps seventy centimeters long or more. Elvin took his catch back to his camp site where he had could make a campfire with some wood that he gathered, and on his way back, he noticed beautiful wild flowers. He gathers five bundles of these flowers to give to his wife Pokey when he gets home. As he gathered the last of the flowers, he felt the wood of a blunt weapon bash his head and everything went black.
When Elvin woke up, he was tied up and being dragged on to a boat to a destination that he did not know. Pain quickly surged back to his head and he struggled. Again, the weapon knocked him on the head and everything went blurry. Before passing out again, he saw the people who were taking him hand what looked like a pass to the captain of the ship. Elvin awoke once again and the ship was in motion. He saw land very close by and everyone was packing up to leave. Angry at his current situation, Elvin called upon his Spirit Weapon, Odin, and the chains tying him up were disintegrated. He then jumped off the boat and swam towards the land. Odin helped him get to land by healing his wounds and giving him a large energy boost.
Dripping wet and coughing out seawater, Elvin washes onto the beach. He rests there for a couple of minutes and then wanders around and eventually makes it into a camp. He remembered a book his Spirit had talked about which detailed how to defend oneself and asked the spirit to materialize the book. Quickly reading the book, he then understood how to sense if an attack would be coming from the sides or behind and also how to counter them, as well as defending things that attacked him head on. Elvin then bought some food at the camp and asked the people at the camp where this was, finding out that it was a different continent from where he was. Elvin asked if there were any way he could get back and found out that he could take a boat back. Sadly, bad luck struck: all the boats were destroyed in harsh storms and it would be a couple of months before he could return home. After this incident, Elvin decided it would be worthless to idle at the camp and goes off to explore this new land. He bought around twenty pieces of paper from the lady named Alexina so that he could draw things that he saw.
The sun loomed over Elvin scorching his skin as he crossed the vast sandy desert. He was fine because he had met people wearing strange things on their heads; it looked like they just took some cloth and wrapped it around their heads. These two travelers were named Balance and Mirreth and were heading to study the mysterious mist that came out from the place they called Metus. He had gotten this hat from them and it instantly kept his head cooler. Having thanked them, he asked if there were any civilizations near and heard that if he kept heading northeast, he would make it somewhere. That was a day ago; he was beginning to think he had been tricked but finally spotted a town. When he arrived, he was shocked to see that the people there were not human but elves! He spent a week there, learning some customs and talking to the people. They gave him a little charm that featured a white feather from a bird that lived near the town and two small gems that looked as if they were made from silver. Finally, he left and promised he would come back one day.
On his way to new places, Elvin had noticed weird gate-like structures, much like the moongates back in Uladh. He wondered what they did and stood on one. Nothing happened. He waited for a few minutes to see if anything would happen and jumped when somebody appeared out of thin air next to him. Asking the person what happened, they explained how these mana tunnels worked. Elvin thought of a gate that he had touched in the mountains and he felt a strange sensation on his body, tingly yet compressing at the same time. When he opened his eyes, he was in the mountains again at the very gate that he remembered touching. Amazed at these convenient structures, he wandered around the mountains and eventually reached a cave. The cave was a very dangerous place: it was very dark and had hellish creatures everywhere. Elvin decided the best way to get out of the cave (if it even had an exit) was to follow the rule of left; that is just follow the left wall and eventually you will get out. After many hours of moving along this cave, he made it to an opening and walked out into blinding sunshine. He was out of the cave! He looked around his surroundings and saw lots of green but what really caught his eye was a large bird that was blue, green, and white with a gray-brown beak. It was a beautiful bird and he slowly walked towards it, being careful not to spook it. It was wary of him when he was around one hundred feet away so he sat down and watched it. This is when he remembered about a bird he heard about in the elven town called a Thunderbird. Maybe this was it he decided it wouldnt hurt to try so he concentrated mana in his hands and slowly gathered electrical power. After a bolt of lightning had been formed, he looked up and was startled to see the bird had walked up to ten feet away from where he was and was staring at him. He offered the electric to the bird and after around five minutes, it decided it was safe to eat. This was how Elvin tamed Fantus, his new pet bird. He constructed a saddle out of some leather that he had collected and trained Fantus to carry him with it on. At first, he could only balance himself when he was on the ground but eventually he was able to stay on whilst Fantus took flight. It took around three days for him to finally be able to do this (as the bird was very calm around Elvin and was intelligent as well). He had of course noticed another cave and upon exploring it, found it to be much more difficult to get out of so he thought he could fly over it. He was right.
Taking flight, Fantus flew to an elevation of around sixty meters, carrying Elvin with him. This is when Elvin noticed that the place he had camped at for those three days had a star shaped marking; he didnt know how that had occurred. Nudging Fantus, Elvin steered him over the cave and into a place he could only describe as one thing: freezing.
Flying around, Elvin eventually spotted a town and landed there. This town was very strange
everything was HUGE! He eventually ended up at the town chief and found out that these were the giants of the town of Vales. Elvin, being a swordsman, wanted to know how they protected themselves in these harsh lands and met the blacksmith of the village. They showed him various weapons but there was one that caught it eye, it was something that the giants used to hit things from afar. Crafted of wood, this tool held a javelin and, if swung, would fling that javelin at a target. Elvin had the blacksmith construct a custom one for him (as the rest were just huge. He thanked the villagers for everything and went on his way, flying off with Fantus. After flying for a couple of days, Fantus was very tired and landed on a strange land. Elvin looked around and saw swamp-land, marshes, and jungle. He wandered with the thunderbird and stumbled upon a village. The village, though primitive, was beautiful. He met the leader of the tribe and talked to various villagers. He learned he could tame animals if he got some bait (it took him four tries to finally tame an otter) but he never got a cane that they said would make it easier to do so because he figured that the best tools he had were his hands. One day, the leader asked him to gather some water in a bottle and collect around ten little berries from some trees around the village. These trees were rare to find but he did collected what he was asked to and brought them to the leader after he found them to thank them for all they did. He asked what they were for and the leader gave him a sample of a very bitter drink that was black in color. Elvin didnt like this drink at all. After a week in the village, Elvin thanked the villagers for everything and was once more off to explore the new continent.
Hanging on with all his might, Elvin clung onto Fantus as the bird flew at top speed, doing sharp turns and flying in an unorthodox manner; they were being chased by monsters that shot out ice, lightning, or fire. Nudging Fantus with his right foot, Fantus did a summersault and they ended up behind these beasts. At inhuman speeds, Elvin loaded the wooden weapon and flung a javelin at the first pursuer, piercing its heart and sending it falling to the ground. He loaded another javelin in the wooden tool and flung it at the second pursuer. This javelin penetrated through the eye of the creature and it was sent down to the floor too. The last one took flight away from Elvin; he didnt pursue it but rather went down to the dead ones and took one of the claws from these beasts as a trophy of his victory. The camp that Elvin found was very quickly constructed; as if it were just brand new. He talked to the explorers who found this place and found out that they were still exploring this land. Elvin went around a lake that was near and a giant dragon startled him. He was just looking over the lake and felt a huge gush of wind behind him and checked only to find it staring at him. He couldnt move, though he tried as hard as he could to. The dragon then spoke to him and told him not to fear it. It read his memories and nodded to itself. Then it told Elvin that he had gone through enough. He felt that strange sensation he did when he used the mana tunnel and at last, when he opened his eyes, he found himself back home. Suddenly feeling very tired, he climbed into his bed and fell asleep almost instantly. Awaking to a familiar scream, Elvin rushed out of bed and saw his wife trying to fend off a giant creature. He ran up to Pokey and hugged her. She kicked him because she didnt see it was him and then was wide eyed as she realized it was him and pointed to the beast and told Elvin to kill it and that they could talk after that. Elvin just laughed and petted the beast named Fantus. He explained to his wife that it was his pet bird. At first she didnt believe him but then he helped her up onto the saddle and hopped on behind her and Fantus took flight. After flying around Dunbarton, Elvin explained everything that happened to a distraught Pokey. She was very interested in this new land Iria after the story.
This boat ride was relaxing and Elvin was able to enjoy the journey back to Iria with his wife. He told her of the people who had saved him in the desert and wanted to meet up with them. When he made it to Metus, the two who he had found were wounded badly and he saw the monsters that were running at them to finish the job. Elvin, with a sudden burst of rage, disappeared from Pokeys side and appeared in front of the monsters and battled. He wore a magnificent armor that glowed and black wings were sprouting from his back for an unknown reason. Barely fending the monsters off, he told Fantus to take Pokey, Balance, and Mirreth to Filia. He then used a technique that he learned from the warrior at the village of Cor to escape from the monsters. Instead of using it as an offensive technique, Elvin used the speed he had learned and dashed away at a blinding speed. He kept this up until he made it to the healers house at Filia and then sat down, gulping breaths of air down and sweat pouring from his face; that was a very far run. The healer in Filia was almost finished patching Balance up and had already finished Mirreth up. They were talking to Pokey between each painful gasp but they would live. After a couple of weeks, Mirreth and Balance were patched up. Elvin found out that the two were married and everyone learned about eachother. Pokey and Mirreth wanted to meet the dragon that Elvin had spoken of and Balance wanted to join Elvin to research the area in between the two caves that Elvin had traveled to.
Thus, this is where the story is at now its YOUR turn to join in on the journey! Find 14 items that were in the story and give 7 of them to Pokey or Mirreth and the other 7 to Elvin or Balance.
Hint#1: Read the story CAREFULLY!
Hint#2: Not every paragraph has items.
Hint#3: Quantity counts.
Hint#4: Try to go for the EASY items!
Hint#5: The locations of Mirreth, Pokey, Elvin and Balance are located at the few last sentences of the story.
Hint#6: Cobwebs is one of the items.

For everyone who was planning it, here is the topic.

One entry per person; changes allowed before deadline. Have fun with this!
Deadline to post: July 5th
Update: The deadline has passed~ Voting will now take place; July 9th is the last day to cast your vote! Participants may not vote!

Original one (ignore this one)
Welcome to the underground buffalo fights!
Ready…Go!
…
WHAT? DONE ALREADY?!

An example of Everyone participating together would be like the parades.
Likewise, Interactive events with “NPCs” will be somewhat like the last event where you have to find an “NPC” (one of the helpers or me) to go forward in the event.

This will be for my next event. If you want any other time (like the ones inbetween, post it)
*Edit: Due to sudden circumstances I was forced to take off Friday February 26th.*
